Resilient inflows of US$3.17B despite price correction
Digital asset investment products saw US$3.17B inflows last week, pushing YTD inflows to a record US$48.7B, despite price corrections linked to US–China tariff tensions.
Trading volumes hit all-time highs, with weekly ETP volumes at US$53B and Friday’s daily volume at US$15.3B, while total AuM fell 7% to US$242B.
Bitcoin led inflows with US$2.67B, Ethereum followed with US$338M, and SOL and XRP inflows slowed to US$93.3M and US$61.6M respectively.
Digital asset investment products recorded inflows of US$3.17B last week despite the significant price correction cause by the China tariff threats by the US. Friday saw little reaction with a paltry US$159M outflows. Year-to-date (YTD) inflows have now surpassed the record inflows last year, totalling US$48.7B so far in 2025.
Weekly volumes on digital asset ETPs were the largest on record at a whopping US$53B for the week, double the 2025 weekly average, with Friday volumes being the largest daily on record at US$15.3B. Total assets under management (AuM) following the tariff announcement fell by 7% from last week’s peak to US$242B.
Bitcoin saw inflows of US$2.67B over the week, bringing YTD inflows to a new high of US$30.2B, but remain well below the US$41.7B seen in 2024. Volumes on Friday’s price correction were the highest on record at US$10.4B for the day, while flows on Friday were only US$0.39M.
Ethereum saw further inflows of US$338M last week, although saw outflows on Friday of US$172M, the largest of any digital asset, suggesting investors saw it as being the most vulnerable in this correction.
Despite the hype around the upcoming SOL and XRP US ETF launches, inflows have slowed to US$93.3M and US$61.6M respectively.
