Principali sviluppi nelle azioni blockchain – Settimana 43

Nel corso della settimana 43, i dati sull’inflazione negli Stati Uniti sono risultati inferiori alle attese, fornendo supporto ai mercati azionari insieme all’ottimismo per un possibile incontro commerciale tra Stati Uniti e Cina previsto per la prossima settimana. Gli utili societari dell’S&P 500 continuano a superare le stime, segnando la stagione delle trimestrali più solida degli ultimi quattro anni. Nell’ambito dell’infrastruttura digitale, i miner di bitcoin restano al centro dell’attenzione mentre cresce la domanda istituzionale, evidenziata dalle partecipazioni recentemente rese pubbliche da Jane Street in diversi grandi operatori del mining. Questa tendenza è ulteriormente confermata da nuove partnership nel calcolo tra Google e Anthropic e dallo storico accordo hyperscaler di Applied Digital, che sottolineano la crescente domanda di energia, capacità dei data center e infrastrutture ad alte prestazioni.

Insieme ai solidi risultati societari, sia i fattori macroeconomici sia quelli fondamentali restano di supporto per le azioni verso la fine dell’anno.

Jane Street rende note partecipazioni in Cipher Mining, Hut 8 e Bitfarms — tutte componenti dell’indice. La società ha depositato in modo discreto partecipazioni passive (Schedule 13G) nel comparto dei miner di bitcoin, assumendo quote di circa il 5% in Cipher Mining, Bitfarms e Hut 8, a indicare un’esposizione ampia piuttosto che un approccio attivista. Nel breve termine, l’impatto atteso è un miglioramento della liquidità e spread più contenuti, poiché un importante market maker diventa uno dei principali azionisti e gestisce attivamente coperture o prestiti sulle proprie posizioni. Nel frattempo, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) ha raccomandato agli azionisti della componente dell’indice Core Scientific di votare contro la proposta di fusione interamente in azioni con CoreWeave, citando un processo carente, una valutazione inadeguata e una protezione insufficiente al ribasso. Infine, J.P. Morgan prevede di consentire ai clienti istituzionali di utilizzare Bitcoin ed Ether come garanzia per i prestiti entro la fine dell’anno.
