Perché Solana potrebbe essere l’Autobahn della finanza digitale

Quando la Germania costruì l’Autobahn, l’obiettivo non era stabilire un record di velocità. Era creare un’infrastruttura in grado di sostenere il volume di merci, logistica e mobilità di un’intera economia senza che il sistema collassasse sotto carico. Il valore non risiedeva nella velocità in sé, ma in ciò che quella velocità rendeva possibile. Oggi la finanza digitale affronta la stessa questione ingegneristica: quali reti possono gestire una scala istituzionale senza congestione, degrado delle prestazioni o costi fuori controllo?

La risposta di Solana è il motivo per cui Visa l’ha scelta.

Il volume è la tesi

Nel 2023, Visa ha selezionato Solana come rete di regolamento per il suo progetto pilota sulle stablecoin — una decisione che non aveva nulla a che fare con la speculazione sulle criptovalute e tutto a che fare con la logica di procurement. [1] Lo stesso ragionamento che una società di trasporti applica quando sceglie un’autostrada invece di una strada provinciale: capacità, affidabilità e costi su larga scala. Quel progetto pilota ora elabora 3,5 miliardi di dollari (circa 3,2 miliardi di euro) di volume di regolamento annualizzato, con Cross River Bank e Lead Bank che regolano obbligazioni in USDC sette giorni su sette, inclusi weekend e festivi — qualcosa che il sistema bancario corrispondente non è in grado di fare.

Il caso d’uso del regolamento non è un prototipo. È un sistema in produzione, e scala.

Cosa significa realmente il throughput per gli investitori

Solana elabora attualmente circa 265 milioni di transazioni al giorno a un costo di circa 0,0025 dollari (0,0023 euro) per transazione (Token Terminal, maggio 2026). Per contestualizzare: il sistema di pagamenti istantanei Pix del Brasile ha registrato un picco giornaliero di 276,7 milioni di transazioni nel giugno 2025, mentre la rete RTP negli Stati Uniti elabora circa 1,18 milioni di transazioni al giorno. [2] Solana opera quindi alla scala di un’infrastruttura di pagamento nazionale — senza una banca centrale alle spalle.

La rete sostiene circa 3.000 transazioni al secondo in condizioni reali di produzione. La capacità teorica massima di Visa supera i 65.000 TPS, ma il throughput medio nel mondo reale è di circa 1.700 TPS. [3] Il confronto rilevante non è quale sistema sia più veloce in condizioni ideali. È quale rete sia progettata per assorbire una crescita significativa del volume di transazioni istituzionali senza le commissioni e i tempi di conferma che rendono altre reti impraticabili per il regolamento su larga scala. La congestione sulla rete sbagliata non rallenta soltanto: aumenta i costi in modo tale da distruggere l’economia del regolamento ad alta frequenza.

Questo è l’argomento per l’investimento in infrastrutture. Un’autostrada che si blocca al 40% della capacità non è un’autostrada.

La logica istituzionale

Circle ha designato Solana come rete primaria di regolamento per USDC dopo una propria valutazione infrastrutturale. Durante i periodi di picco, una quota significativa del volume globale di trasferimenti in USDC si muove oggi su Solana, nonostante USDC abbia una fornitura totale molto maggiore su Ethereum. Questa divergenza riflette una scelta razionale delle istituzioni: dove l’economia del regolamento è migliore, il volume segue.

Google Cloud gestisce infrastruttura di validazione sulla rete Solana dal 2022, partecipando direttamente alla produzione dei blocchi invece di limitarsi a costruire prodotti sopra di essa. [4] Nell’aprile 2026, Meta ha iniziato a implementare pagamenti in USDC per i creator in Colombia e nelle Filippine su Solana e Polygon, segnando il primo ritorno dell’azienda ai pagamenti crypto dopo l’abbandono del progetto Libra nel 2022. [5] Western Union, che trasferisce denaro in oltre 200 paesi attraverso una rete di 360.000 agenti, si prepara a lanciare la propria stablecoin ancorata al dollaro (USDPT) su Solana nel maggio 2026, inizialmente come sostituto diretto di SWIFT nel regolamento tra agenti. [6]

Nessuna di queste decisioni è stata presa da team che gestiscono posizioni speculative. Sono state prese da team di procurement infrastrutturale che valutano affidabilità, costi e capacità — e in ogni caso Solana ha soddisfatto i requisiti.

Il vantaggio dell’infrastruttura tedesca

Gli investitori infrastrutturali tedeschi comprendono il timing. Sanno riconoscere quando nuovi sistemi raggiungono la scala di produzione, ma prima che un’adozione diffusa porti le valutazioni a livelli maturi. L’Autobahn fu costruita perché la crescita economica richiedeva una capacità di trasporto che le strade esistenti non potevano offrire. Solana rappresenta la stessa opportunità nella finanza digitale. L’infrastruttura gestisce già oggi volumi istituzionali, pur restando nelle fasi iniziali del ciclo di adozione. Le principali istituzioni finanziarie stanno passando dai progetti pilota ai sistemi in produzione, ma gran parte del capitale istituzionale non è ancora stata allocata al livello infrastrutturale.

Questo gap temporale — tra infrastruttura comprovata e ampia proprietà — è esattamente ciò che gli investitori infrastrutturali tedeschi hanno sfruttato nei settori delle telecomunicazioni, dell’energia e dei trasporti. Investono nella capacità durante le fasi di sviluppo, catturando la crescita quando il volume scala per riempirla.

Effetti di rete su scala infrastrutturale

L’Autobahn crea la propria domanda. Man mano che più aziende si insediano vicino agli accessi autostradali, il traffico aumenta e richiede più corsie, attirando ulteriori imprese e quindi più infrastruttura. L’investimento si amplifica nel tempo.

Solana segue dinamiche simili. Un throughput più elevato attrae applicazioni ad alto volume. Più applicazioni generano più transazioni. Un maggiore volume di transazioni giustifica miglioramenti infrastrutturali. Un’infrastruttura migliore consente capacità ancora più elevate. Ogni adozione istituzionale valida l’infrastruttura per la successiva, creando una crescita composta sia nell’utilizzo sia nel valore della rete.

Economia dell’infrastruttura e rendimenti dei validator

Il modello economico di Solana rispecchia quello delle infrastrutture autostradali: i ricavi crescono con l’utilizzo. Ogni transazione genera commissioni per i validator della rete. I rendimenti da staking annualizzati attuali variano tra il 5,9% e il 6,6%, combinando ricompense da inflazione e distribuzione delle commissioni di transazione (Token Terminal, maggio 2026). Con l’aumento del volume delle transazioni, cresce anche la componente delle commissioni, collegando i rendimenti all’utilizzo della rete piuttosto che a una singola applicazione costruita sopra di essa.

Si tratta di un’esposizione al livello infrastrutturale stesso, non alle imprese che lo utilizzano. L’analogia regge: possedere la capacità autostradale anziché le società logistiche che da essa dipendono.

La finestra di investimento

Il divario tra infrastruttura comprovata e ampia proprietà istituzionale è dove si trova l’opportunità. Gli investitori infrastrutturali riconoscono questo schema: il deployment delle reti 5G nel 2013, non nel 2023. La posa della fibra ottica negli anni ’90, non negli anni 2000.

Per l’infrastruttura blockchain, il momento è adesso. Le reti in grado di offrire throughput su scala istituzionale si stanno distinguendo da quelle che non possono. Solana elabora 265 milioni di transazioni al giorno a costi che abilitano nuovi prodotti finanziari. Il volume di regolamento di 3,5 miliardi di dollari di Visa tramite Solana convalida la prontezza per la produzione. Lo staking offre una partecipazione economica diretta alla crescita della rete.

Il livello di throughput è operativo. La validazione istituzionale si accumula. La fase di sviluppo crea l’opportunità.
