Introducing The Node Magazine
2 min read
In 2025, CoinShares launched thenodemagazine.com, a new website dedicated to the full breadth of digital asset stories. Over 17 years after Bitcoin's creation, it is still widely misunderstood, framed as speculative at best and a scam at worst. Everything else gets pushed into the shadows while memecoins dominate the headlines. We thought it mattered to offer another voice, one able to explain why crypto is far more grounded in reality than it is usually made out to be
Built by real people. Used by real people, all across the world. Over the past year we have published stories from Lebanon, Switzerland, France and the United Kingdom. We have interviewed many of the industry's most prominent builders: Bitcoin pioneers, network founders, presidents of crypto foundations. Different voices, different backgrounds, different stories, each seen through its own lens.
As our civilisation grows toward a digital realm, we wanted to tell those stories on a physical medium, one more way of proving our conviction that digital assets are tangible. The Node Magazine is born, and the first edition is out.
It is a beautiful yearly issue, an invitation to meet the builders of the digital asset industry: Adam Back (Blockstream CEO), Lily Liu (Solana Foundation President), David Marcus (Lightspark CEO), Arthur Breitman (Tezos co-founder), Ala Shaabana (Bittensor co-founder), Christian Thompson (Sui Foundation Managing Director), Marc P. Bernegger (Bitcoin early adopter) and Eric Balchunas (Senior ETF Analyst at Bloomberg). An invitation to explore where these assets are used and useful, to take in the work of prominent illustrators such as Simon Bailly and Alberto Miranda, and simply to read about what this ecosystem has to offer.
This is our first edition, and more will follow. It is currently available in a limited run in Monocle Cafés and at CoinShares events around the world. The story is far from finished.
