Prognosemärkte haben sich von einer Nischenkuriosität zu einem der am schnellsten wachsenden Segmente der Finanzwelt entwickelt. Das gemeinsame monatliche nominale Handelsvolumen von Kalshi und Polymarket, den beiden größten Plattformen, stieg von 4,5 Mrd. US-Dollar im September 2025 auf 43,7 Mrd. US-Dollar im Juni 2026, wobei der letzte Wert durch die Eröffnungswochen der Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2026 zusätzlich getrieben wurde.1 Eine unabhängige Auswertung von The-Block-Daten durch das Pew Research Center beziffert denselben Gesamtwert für April 2026 auf rund 24 Mrd. US-Dollar und bestätigt damit den Trend.2 Kalshi hat inzwischen 1 Mrd. US-Dollar bei einer Bewertung von 22 Mrd. US-Dollar eingesammelt und verhandelte Berichten zufolge im Juni über eine weitere Runde bei einer Bewertung von 40 Mrd. US-Dollar, während Intercontinental Exchange 2 Mrd. US-Dollar für Polymarket zugesagt hat, überwiegend für den Zugang zu dessen Daten.3

Prediction markets go mainstreamKeines der beiden Unternehmen ist börsennotiert, und es gibt kein Token, das direkte Eigentumsanteile an einer der Plattformen verbrieft. Zwei Blockchain-Netzwerke jedoch, Hyperliquid und Solana, entwickeln sich zunehmend zu der Infrastruktur, über die dieses Wachstum läuft. Ihre nativen Token HYPE und SOL eröffnen Anlegern damit die Möglichkeit, indirekt Exposure zu diesem Trend zu halten.

Hyperliquid hat Prognosemärkte in die eigene Exchange integriert

Hyperliquid hat HIP-4, die eigene Funktion für Ergebnismärkte, am 2. Mai 2026 gestartet. Dahinter steht ein kleiner On-Chain-Handelsplatz, der unmittelbar innerhalb von Hyperliquids bestehender Perpetuals-Exchange betrieben wird und dieselbe Art von Ja/Nein-Kontrakten wie Kalshi und Polymarket handelt. In den ersten neun Wochen wickelte HIP-4 ein kumuliertes nominales Handelsvolumen von 331,1 Mio. US-Dollar ab, das von weniger als 3 Mio. US-Dollar in der Startwoche auf einen Wochenhöchstwert von über 75 Mio. US-Dollar Ende Juni kletterte. Aus den zugrunde liegenden Spot-Umsätzen ergaben sich Protokollerlöse von 5.906 US-Dollar, gemessen an der Marktkapitalisierung von HYPE in Höhe von 15,4 Mrd. US-Dollar, weiterhin ein Rundungsfehler.4

Hyperliquid HIP4 outcome marketsDie Verbindung zu HYPE verläuft über Hyperliquids Assistance Fund, der Erlöse aus Protokollgebühren einsetzt, um HYPE am offenen Markt zurückzukaufen, ergänzt um Zuflüsse wie die 50 % des Bruttoerlöses, die der Stablecoin-Emittent Circle abführt.5 Jeder Dollar, den HIP-4 erwirtschaftet, verstärkt diesen Rückkaufdruck, so geringfügig er heute auch ausfallen mag.

Solana ist zum Vertriebskanal der Prognosemärkte geworden

Solanas Rolle ist eine andere: Das Netzwerk verhält sich weniger wie ein Handelsplatz als vielmehr wie eine Vertriebsinfrastruktur. Phantom, die dominierende Wallet im Solana-Umfeld mit rund 20 Millionen Nutzern, bot ab Dezember 2025 Kalshi-gebundene Prognosemärkte an und ermöglichte es Nutzern, mit Solana-basierten Token zu handeln, ohne die App zu verlassen.6 Diese Kooperation endete am 1. Juni 2026, als Phantom sie durch World ersetzte, einen nativ auf Solana aufgesetzten Prognosemarkt, der über Chainlink-Orakel automatisch abgewickelt wird und jede Position als Token ausgibt, das der Nutzer unmittelbar in der eigenen Wallet hält.7 Unabhängig davon hat Jupiter, die größte Handelsanwendung auf Solana, im Juni mit Forecast einen eigenen nativen Handelsplatz gestartet, der Händler gegen konkurrierende Market Maker stellt statt gegen einen gemeinsamen Liquiditätspool, und erklärt, Polymarket ergänzen und nicht mit Polymarket konkurrieren zu wollen.8

Prediction markets on SolanaNichts von dieser Aktivität schlägt sich zwangsläufig in den Erlösen von Kalshi oder Polymarket nieder. Sie zeigt sich vielmehr in der Netzwerkaktivität von Solana, und dessen Protokollerlöse, also die rund 50 % der Transaktionsgebühren, die das Netzwerk einbehält, lagen im April, Mai und Juni 2026 im Schnitt bei etwa 1,4 Mio. US-Dollar pro Monat, gegenüber einer Marktkapitalisierung von SOL in Höhe von 47 Mrd. US-Dollar.9

Eine schmale Erlösbasis, und dazu eine unbeständige

Das Größenverhältnis ist in beiden Fällen der ehrliche Vorbehalt. Die fünfstelligen Erlöse von HIP-4 und Solanas überschaubare Monatseinnahmen sind im Verhältnis zu den Marktwerten der Token verschwindend gering. Es geht hier folglich um eine These zu Optionalität und Positionierung, nicht um einen kurzfristigen Ergebnistreiber. Dass auf Solana binnen sieben Monaten von Kalshi zu World gewechselt wurde, führt zudem vor Augen, wie rasch sich Vertriebsvereinbarungen in diesem Sektor verschieben können: Der heute dominierende Vertriebskanal muss es morgen nicht mehr sein.
