Global equities have been suffering with dwindling growth prospects, increasing inflation, rising discount rates and military conflicts. The MSCI World and S&P 500 indices are down around 20% year-to-date and, as one would expect, tech and blockchain stocks have fallen even further. In line with other crypto-related assets, the CoinShares Blockchain Global Equity Index is also down 43% year-to-date, against Bitcoin and Ethereum being down 55% and 67% respectively.
Valuations at the CoinShares Blockchain Global Equity Index (BLOCK Index) suffered a more modest decline, from 14x earnings at the beginning of the year to 11x now.
