JERSEY, Kanalöarna – 21 juli 2026 – CoinShares PLC (Nasdaq: CSHR) ("CoinShares" eller "Bolaget"), en ledande global kapitalförvaltare specialiserad på digitala tillgångar, meddelar lanseringen av CoinShares Bitcoin Mining UCITS ETF, som noteras på Deutsche Börse Xetra från och med idag.

ETF:n ger investerare reglerad, diversifierad exponering mot Bitcoins ekonomi utan att direkt äga Bitcoin. Fonden är strukturerad som en irländskt domicilierad UCITS, auktoriserad av Irlands centralbank, och replikerar fullt fysiskt CoinShares Bitcoin Mining Index – en regelbaserad, kvalitetsviktad korg av börsnoterade Bitcoin-gruvbolag som administreras av Solactive AG. CoinShares är den enda kapitalförvaltaren som erbjuder en renodlad Bitcoin mining-strategi i en UCITS-struktur.

Varför en UCITS Bitcoin mining-ETF, och varför nu

För många europeiska kapitalförvaltare är det antingen förbjudet enligt intern placeringspolicy eller olämpligt ur ett operativt och riskmässigt perspektiv att äga Bitcoin direkt. Börsnoterade Bitcoin-gruvbolag – företagen som säkrar nätverket, validerar transaktioner och producerar ny Bitcoin – ger investerare ekonomisk exponering mot Bitcoin genom det välkända, reglerade formatet för aktiemarknaden. Deras intäkter är starkt känsliga för Bitcoins pris: när Bitcoin stiger i värde har gruvbolagens marginaler historiskt ökat mer än det underliggande priset.

CoinShares Bitcoin Mining Index är resultatet av tio års egen forskning om den globala Bitcoin mining-sektorn, genomförd av CoinShares researchteam. Indexet administreras och beräknas av Solactive AG, ombalanseras kvartalsvis och viktas enligt ett CoinShares kvalitetsbetyg som filtrerar fram de ledande operatörerna – inte bara de största.

Varje bolag i indexet betygsätts utifrån fem dimensioner: omfattning och tillväxt av utplacerad hashrate; lönsamhet och kostnadseffektivitet, mätt genom produktionskostnad per Bitcoin och rörelsemarginal; finansiell motståndskraft, mätt genom balansräkningens styrka, likviditet och skuldhantering; miljömässig effektivitet, mätt genom andelen förnybar energi; samt bolagsstyrning, mätt genom styrelsens oberoende, rapporteringskvalitet och samstämmighet med aktieägarna.

Begränsningen på 18 procent per enskilt bolag, som endast i undantagsfall kan utökas till 33 procent för det största innehavet, säkerställer diversifiering inom korgen och eliminerar den binära risk som följer med koncentrerade positioner i enskilda gruvbolag. CoinShares researchteam genomför regelbundna platsbesök hos ledande mining-operatörer, vilket ger unik förstahandsinformation om operativ effektivitet, ledningskvalitet och strategisk positionering.
