CoinShares is introducing Double Spending, a new animated series designed to educate audiences on the historical, fun, and sometimes tragic stories behind money as we know it: namely, fiat currencies.
In a monthly episode, we explore how money, despite being central to our daily lives worldwide, is not neutral. Its impact and fate depend heavily on its design, which varies across countries and systems.
The title is a nod to Bitcoin’s core reason for existence, as explained in the whitepaper written by Satoshi Nakamoto.
Illustrated by artist Alberto Miranda (The Guardian Weekly, The Economist, El País, Barron’s Magazine, Capital Magazine) and animated by CoinShares motion designer Marine Adenis, Double Spending offers insight into why Bitcoin may, after all, have a place in modern society.
